The 303 Basketball League is a whole new 3on3
league kicking-off in Melbourne, something that
you've never seen done before. 303 Basketball
is a new organisation that has a dedication
to give you all a league that makes you feel
like a player. This isn't no ordinary league
though, and it's not a 3on3 tournament. It's
a full length season, 3on3 halfcourt, with an
official website that features all players stats,
profiles, news, photos and clips. There will
be end-of-season awards, trophies, an All-Star
game and the opportunity to be recognised. This
is a league designed by players made for the
players. This is your NBA. Get behind the 303,
because it is here to stay. |

303
Basketball was founded in July 2005, as a partnership
between Troy Muir and Jeremy Kennett. Both had
been ball players for years, and regularly hit
the courts for halfcourt pick up games. They
had the idea to bring the best things about
competition basketball (indoor courts, regular
games, proper refs, scoring and stats) to the
streetball game, and 303 Basketball was born.
After a lot of work developing the idea and
promoting the new league over the next seven
months, 303 Basketball launched in February
with a grading day at MSAC. The league continued
to grow at its temporary home at Kensington
and is now back at MSAC, the birthplace and
true home of 303. We started with seven teams,
and have nearlt doubled in size in less than
two months of play, with more signing up each
week. The first season has been a great learning
experience and we’re already looking forward
to moving into season 2 with all features and
services online.
